What comes to mind when you hear the words “Plan A”? The best option? The first line of action? Typically Plan A triggers thoughts of the most profound ideas, the best resources and most inventive strategies, yes?
Yet when Plan A fails, we sometimes talk of Plan B. A fallback option. Plan B may not offer the ingenuity and power of A. But it’s next in line, better than nothing. And it might prove effective after all…
So what does this talk of Plan A/ Plan B have to do with Sister Effect?
We’re glad you asked! Because when it comes to helping end human suffering, oppression and injustice in the world, we believe that God’s people are His answer and His response.
We’re His Plan A. And He doesn’t really have a backup plan that can facilitate hope, healing, peace and justice the way that His people can.
Please hear this: You don’t have to be ‘old enough’ to care and you’re never too old to join in this story. You don’t have to have certain qualifications or education to join in this work. You may be very busy (we so understand this!), but maybe you can lock arms with other sisters and prayerfully consider how you might serve together to help bring change with and for our sisters in South Sudan. That way you share the joy and efforts – and you experience the transforming beauty of being better together.
We’re undoubtedly God’s Plan A. We’re created for work that heals, for collaborative work that inspires and brings about peace with justice.
Will you join us in working for change in Jesus’ name in South Sudan?
